This page shows you how to make a quick and easy rechargeable battery out of commonly available components. I use this kind of battery with a 6.5 watt folding solar panel while camping to run things like radios and portable electronics. It's very easy to use, just hook it to the solar panel and the sun will charge up the batteries directly without any other components needed. You don't even need a battery charger, the solar panel can charge the duct tape battery directly without a charger. More...

Welcome To our Family Run Marina, The "Cruisers" Marina

Location

The Club Naútico is located in one of the best residential barrios only 10 minutes stroll from the World Heritage Site City Center. Take a taxi and it will cost less than $1.50. Cartagena remains a safe and secure destination where cruisers can relax while sightseeing and organizing work for their craft.

Mailing Address

19-50 Avenida Miramar Manga, Cartagena Colombia South America

Entrance Navigation

The anchorage surrounds the Club Nautico dock, 300mtrs from the Western most point off the island of MANGA (the masts of boats docked at the "Club de Pesca" will be visible at this point ). Depths range from 8 to 15 mtrs SW off the dock. To the NW depths vary between 1.8 and 3 mtrs from the buoyed channel to 50mtrs from shore. Moderate holding.

Dockmaster

The Club’s courteous dock master, John Halley, will see to it that you are securely moored and provide you with good basic information about the city and it’s customs after you tie up.

Docking & Helpers

Bow or stern-to "Med moor" ties on wooden docks. Someone is provided upon arrival to secure lines — an anchor is not required. There are finger piers available for 16 boats moored on the outer dock.

“Imagine a world in which every single person on the planet is given free access to the sum of all human knowledge. That’s what we’re doing.”
